I’m so pleased to announce that the book Wings of Steel: The True Story of Rosie the Eagle is now available!
Way back in the winter of 2024, I received an email from a former colleague. He wanted to know if I’d be interested in helping turn a true story of an eagle rescue into a book. Of course I would!!
After months of hard work, Wings of Steel is finally ready to fly. I have loved meeting everyone connected with the project, including the author Don and the illustrator Amy. Wildlife rehabber Carol Holmgren is a true hero.
And I’ve been so proud of all the kids in the Pittsburgh Penguins and U. S. Steel Reading Champions program – they are inspiring!
